Pay for what you use, nothing more
Hours-based billing means you pay for coaching time, not monthly subscriptions. Real-time balance display during calls, exact decimal minute tracking with no rounding, low balance email alerts, and personal plus shared team hour pools.
Simple, fair billing
Sales Seraph uses an hours-based billing model because it is the fairest way to charge for a coaching tool. You pay for the hours of coaching time you actually use. If you take 5 calls this month and 20 next month, your costs reflect that difference. No wasted subscription fees during slow periods.
Hours are tracked to the exact decimal minute. If your call lasted 23 minutes and 14 seconds, that is exactly 23.23 minutes deducted. There is no rounding up to the nearest 5 or 15 minutes. You pay for precisely what you use.
Real-time balance and alerts
During every call, your remaining balance is displayed in real time. You always know exactly how much coaching time you have left. Before a call starts, the system checks that you have a minimum balance of 0.05 hours to ensure you are not caught short mid-conversation.
Low balance alerts are sent via email at configurable thresholds — default alerts trigger at 2 hours and 0.5 hours remaining. This gives you time to purchase a top-up pack before you run out.

Personal and shared team hours
Individual users have their own personal hour balance. For teams, managers can maintain a shared hours pool that team members can draw from. This flexibility means reps can use their personal hours or the shared pool depending on allocation.
Managers can grant bonus hours to team members with a reason tracked for accountability. Usage tracking shows exactly which pool each call drew from, giving managers full visibility into how coaching hours are being invested across the team.
How hours-based billing works for teams
For teams, the shared hours model maximizes the value of every hour purchased. If one rep is on holiday and another is in a heavy selling period, the hours flex to where they are needed most. Managers control allocation and can adjust at any time.
Purchasing is simple. Buy top-up hour packs whenever your balance gets low. The more hours you buy at once, the lower the per-hour cost. Hours never expire, so there is no pressure to use them within a specific timeframe.
